Bonika Wilson, President and CEO

Led by her motivation to leave the world better than she found it, Mrs. Wilson has spent fourteen years in the financial industry. She prides herself on assisting clients with complex organizational challenges. Mrs. Wilson is currently on the Executive Management team at Wilson Capital Management Inc. a management-consulting firm headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. As President of WCM Inc., Wilson leads the vision of the organization to include: cultivation of new projects, negotiations with contractors, marketing strategy and talent management. Prior to joining Wilson Capital Management fulltime, Wilson was Senior Vice President at SunTrust Bank. As a senior executive at one of the largest US banks, Mrs. Wilson enjoyed motivating her employees, leading a high performing team and growing significant commercial relationships. She has extensive experience consulting on corporate culture, business development, strategic and financial planning, change management, team building, leadership development, performance management, and diversity.

Wilson is passionate about assisting women in becoming successful, savvy entrepreneurs. Through her organizational development work and strong community service, Wilson is often called upon to speak in front of large audiences about, business financing, motivating teams, empowerment and being a woman business owner/executive.

Bonika received her BA from Virginia State University and a MA in Organizational Behavior/Human Resources Development from The George Washington University Graduate School of Education and Human Development. In addition to being Co-founder and President of Wilson Capital Management, she also is co-founder of a nonprofit organization, I am My Brothers/Sisters Keeper. She holds several board positions, which include Leading Edge Institute, YWCA of Central Alabama and Birmingham Children’s Theatre. In addition, she works with many nonprofit organizations on fund development and strategic planning. She has been most recently recognized as a 2013 Top 40 under 40, 2013 Women Who Make A Difference AL.com, 2013 Women of Distinction by Girl Scouts, 2009 Brava Women Of The Year Nominee by Smart CEO magazine, 2009 Impact Award Honoree by The George Washington University, 2010 Top 100 under 50 Executive Leader by Diversity MBA Magazine.


Amy Martin, Vice President and Finance

Amy has been with WCM since 2000 when the company was founded.  She has been responsible for leading major projects and assisting clients with complex organizational issues.  Amy is currently leading new business development, managing project managers and consultants and responsible for executing projects from beginning to end.  Amy’s experience also includes: conducting assessments, Myers Briggs certified, strategic planning, program development, team building, training and facilitation.

Amy received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from The George Washington University in Business Management and Organizational Behavior.

Amy is very involved in her community and currently resides in the Washington DC Metro Area with her husband Todd.


LaReese Harrison, Chief Administration Officer

LaReese Harrison is a leading expert in consulting and managing projects with over 12 years of experience.  Her project management background meshed with her robust knowledge in Information Technology has produced great results for fortune 500 companies.

As the Chief Administration Officer, LaReese ensures that Wilson Capital Management, Inc. operates seamlessly while continuing to increase earnings.  LaReese brings value to clients by guiding and driving the end result and aligning the approach to the goals of the client’s organization.  She has worked in the private sector as well as with many government agencies.  As CAO at Wilson Capital Management, LaReese's responsibilities include assisting the CEO with aligning daily task with the mission of the organization, in addition she is primarily responsible for management of personnel and overseeing daily operations.

LaReese, obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Management Information Systems from Norfolk State University and her Masters in Electronic Commerce from University of Maryland, College Park.

LaReese is very active and engaged in her Virginia community, Delta Sigma Theta, Big Brother Big Sister and is currently on the Board of I am My Sister’s Keeper.

Clarus Consulting Group Announces Expansion


Ownership change supports new market development


BIRMINGHAM, AL -- Clarus Consulting Group today announced expansion plans and a change in ownership of the Birmingham-based management consulting firm. Founding Partner Lynn Elgin will be joined by Partner Bonika Wilson to lead the firm.  Along with new leadership, the firm is pursuing a growth strategy with an expansion into Georgia and the Carolinas. “We are delighted to announce that Clarus will be opening our newest office in North Carolina in June 2017,” said Wilson. Clarus is a management consulting firm serving corporate, public, and non-profit clients in the areas of strategy and planning, leadership development and management training, and strategic communication and stakeholder engagement.
